Pen Power Poetry
In partnership with Pen Power Poetry, we empower young girls to unlock their voices, share their stories, and inspire change through the power of words.
Pen Power Poetry offers guided workshops led by poet and facilitator Izzy Cox-Garleanu that empower young girls to discover and amplify their voices through poetry and spoken word. These workshops create a safe, supportive environment where participants can explore important themes such as identity, social justice, mental health, and personal aspirations. Through writing exercises and creative prompts, young girls develop their skills in storytelling, writing, and public speaking while gaining confidence in expressing their unique perspectives.
The program encourages both beginners and experienced writers to engage deeply with their creativity and connect with a community that values authentic, meaningful expression. Participants also have opportunities to share their work in local events and performances, further building their confidence and leadership skills.
